Attention Century Route Riders

If you have signed up to ride the 100-mile River Road Century Route, please remember that the route closes at 2:30 p.m. Saturday!

Carbo Load at The Expo

Be sure to help us kick our ride weekend off in style Friday, Oct. 8 at our Expo, held at the Alamodome.

Doors will be open 4-9 p.m. The Expo will feature a $10 pasta dinner, a team jersey fashion show, health and wellness vendors, event sponsors, the latest cycling products sold by bike shops, and our final packet pick-up. You can also submit any pledges, pick up your ride packet and T-shirt, and meet with your Bike MS: Champion. Parking at the Alamodome is $5.

Because Everyone Loves a Parade

Were you at this morning’s Comal County Fair Parade in New Braunfels? We were there, in the parade, with four great friends (pictured, left to right): Phil Melone, Hayley Melone, Stephanie Mizzell and Bob Eccelston.

Bike MS: Valero Club 100 members and team captains had a blast at the Inaugural Orange Ball, held Friday, Sept. 17 at Klusoz Martini & Tapas Bar.

The goal was to “out orange” National MS Society VP Tony Ralf. Velo Valero Team Captain Andrea Shull took home the 1st prize trophy.

Exciting News: FDA Approves First Oral Therapy That Reduces Disease Activity For People With Relapsing MS

Earlier today the FDA approved oral fingolimod – brand name Gilenya (pronounced Jil-EN-ee-ah), a therapy produced and marketed by Novartis International AG. What this means is the first oral therapy to reduce disease activity in MS is expected to hit the market in a few weeks.
